Mission Clean Beaches

Mission Clean Beaches was created to bring light to the negative impacts of marine debris, especially to our wildlife through public outreach, education, action, and advocacy.

High Fashion with the Right Vision

Is the ever rising wave of textile waste a tsunami for the fashion industry, or will it be the ride of our lives?

There are mountains of waste environmental minds are not addressing, at least not in a way other recyclables are treated. Every year the US produces over 25 billion tons of textile waste, largely due to consumers embrace of the fast fashion market.

Prepare your Beachside Homes and Businesses for Sea Turtle Nesting Season

Sea Turtle Nesting Season will soon be upon us, and that means all properties by the beach need to be reviewed for compliance with county and lighting ordinances. The Brevard coast reports the highest number of loggerhead and green sea turtle nesting in the United States, so it’s critical to the sea turtle’s environment that they are not exposed to artificial light.

Green Foods Market

Today, on the way home from a meeting in Melbourne, I took the opportunity to check out a place I’ve had my eye on for weeks now—a little white and pale-green house tucked on the corner of Malabar Road and US1, residential by appearance, but with the words, “Green Foods Market” spelled out above the front door.

Make Every Day, Earth Day

Home. It’s not just where we live. Brevard County is a unique place that we call home. Earth Day is the perfect time to remind us all how precious the Space Coast is and how our daily actions and intentional thinking can keep it precious for every generation to enjoy.

Across Florida in a Nissan Leaf

Current electric cars are not for every driver, but if you can be flexible, it’s amazing what you can do in a plug-in vehicle. I recently test drove a Nissan Leaf. Early that morning, as I drove to the dealer, I got a call. The car we were going to drive didn’t arrive. Would I be willing to go and get one from the other side of the state of Florida?

Why do we do this?

We committed to helping preserve and improve the quality of life available to all residents of the State of Florida. Our mission is to help individuals, families, businesses and organizations reach their fullest potential and accomplish their evolving goals.

Green Regional Project

The U.S. Department of Energy recently named the Florida Solar Energy Center at the University of Central Florida as one of only two sites nationwide that will share a multi-million dollar grant to accelerate the adoption of new and developing energy-efficient technologies.

Sea Turtle Preservation Society Open House

The Sea Turtle Preservation Society is having an open house and invite the public to come and discover everything they do to help protect and preserve Brevard County’s Sea Turtles.
